I have a primary PA but I am looking for a second PA to cover mostly Mondays and other times as required. Hours are likely to be on a Monday morning and afternoon but could vary from week to week.
Responsibilities would include:
Support with morning personal care routine (assisting with washing, dressing and breakfast).
Assistance with admin and paperwork.
Light household duties such as loading and unloading the washing machine and clothes drying rack, washing up etc.
Assistance preparing food and cooking meals.
Support with getting to appointments or otherwise accessing the community in my manual wheelchair (e.g. shopping, collecting medication and other errands). Having access to a car would be essential here.
I have a particular interest in the arts, nature and gardening, and would therefore like someone to support me to continue to engage in these activities.
I am a vegetarian and environmentally aware, so I try to live as sustainably as possible (for example avoiding extraneous plastic packaging, fast fashion brands, processed foods etc).
While my condition means that I cannot perform some tasks, I am eager to continue to progress with finding ways to do things for myself so that I can become as independent as possible. I'm therefore looking for someone to do tasks with me, not for me.
The successful applicant will be open minded, non-judgemental, respectful, reliable, trustworthy and a with a degree of flexibility to adjust as I progress with regaining my independence through rehab therapies.
