Access and Inclusion Specialist
REF: NWM/501
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Salary: Starting Salary £26,292 per annum, once passed probation salary increase to £27,835 per annum
Location: This is a hybrid role, where you will work remotely from home and within the community. The role will cover the North Norfolk area, including travel to locations as far north as Cromer, Stalham, and out to Aylsham.
*A driver's license and access to a vehicle essential for this role. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.
The Role
The Access and Inclusion Specialist will work closely with the Access and Inclusion Manager and the Community Development team to engage with seldom heard communities, including those with protected characteristic and inclusion health groups who do not yet access the NHS Talking Therapies service. Our Access and Inclusion Team (AIT) will enhance our understanding of the nuanced needs of local communities, populations and demographics, to reduce health inequalities and tailor our offer to overcome barriers to access.
This role is critical in driving initiatives that address barriers to access and ensure that services are inclusive and accessible to all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of successfully working in partnership with other organisations to deliver projects and services. Experience in building and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders. In addition have a minimum of 3 years of experience in access and inclusion, EDI, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a facilitation or advise role within the non-profit or mental health sector. A understanding of mental health issues, a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is essential.
