Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM)
Salary: £23,523 per annum increasing to £24,049 after completion of 6-month probation
Location: REST Great Yarmouth - Dene Side, Great Yarmouth NR30 3AX

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is a leading mental health charity, committed to supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team, providing recovery-focused, person-centred support.
About the Role
As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will support individuals with mental health and complex needs to achieve their personal recovery goals. You will work alongside service users to promote independence, physical health, and emotional wellbeing, while helping them to build strong support networks and engage with specialist services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver recovery-focused, person-centred support through individual key work and targeted interventions.
- Empower individuals to exercise choice and control over their care, creating tailored recovery plans based on their needs and goals.
- Act as a champion for key areas such as psychological education, physical health, and eating disorders, sharing expertise and developing resources within the team.
- Foster relationships with local services and agencies to ensure individuals receive appropriate support and community engagement.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation, maintaining confidentiality and using IT systems effectively.
- Work flexibly across Norfolk, including occasional evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
What We're Looking For:
A commitment to empowering people with mental health challenges, promoting their rights and involvement in their care.
Experience (paid or unpaid) in supporting individuals with mental health and complex needs (desirable).
Knowledge of mental health issues and recovery-focused approaches.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work sensitively and assertively with a wide range of people.
The ability to work flexibly and remotely, as part of a geographically spread team.
