Cascade supports people living with autism, mental health conditions and learning difficulties along the road to greater independence. We believe all vulnerable people should receive safe, appropriate, high-quality care with the emphasis on health, education, community and social inclusion as well as a first-class living environment. We currently have 6 CQC registered residential homes and 1 Ofsted Registered children's home and school within Norfolk. Within East Yorkshire we also offer both supported living and residential support for Adults and are due to open shortly an additional Ofsted Registered Childrens home and school. Our residential homes respond to the individual needs of the resident, aiming to develop their independent living and social skills, aiming to instill confidence and enable them to participate in a meaningful life. We offer high-quality support aimed at enabling people to develop their independence and to live fulfilling lives in the community. Our staff will be highly trained, qualified, enthusiastic and well led. Ensuring effective communication and providing skills in a wide range of communication interventions will provide the best opportunities for people with disabilities to have positive outcomes. In order to provide the skills necessary to enable effective communication, we will train and develop our staff in a wide range of interventions. Our homes are designed to ensure that we enable our residents to have personal space and privacy and opportunity to live in a home that has a sense of community. Each resident will have an individual support plan tailored to meet their specific abilities, interests and needs. We aim to provide the right environment and support for people to maximise their independence and lead fulfilling lives. We therefore encourage people to develop their skills by taking an active part in everyday tasks such as cooking, washing, shopping, and developing their social skills by sharing in activities with others. Each individual will have their own key worker working closely with them to develop and deliver their individual care and support plan. We will build each person's plan by finding out their ambitions, goals, needs and preferences, in close collaboration with their family, friends and support staff. The lasting and productive relationships we build means that we can deliver the best possible support for each person. Individual Plans will be reviewed and evaluated regularly with the individual. Individuals are involved in decision-making about their home and are introduced to potential new staff as part of the recruitment process. The underlying philosophy of our service is to offer high-quality, non-discriminatory care that promotes choice, independence, dignity and autonomy, and enhances people's quality of life. Our staff will help people to make the most of the wide range of leisure and community facilities, building each individual's confidence so that they can increase their abilities and self-sufficiency in all areas of their lives. Where appropriate we also help people to take part in further education and employment.
