Adult Recovery Worker

​Hours: Part Time - 22.5 hours per week - Work pattern to be discussed at interview

Salary Starting Salary £23,523 rising to £24,049 per annum - after 6 months probation - salary pro rata for part time hours

​Location: REST Great Yarmouth - NR30 3AX


​*Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.

​What is the Adult Community Service?
​Adult Community Support (ACS) is a free service to help people in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area, over the age of 25 experiencing anxiety, low mood, depression and other forms of mild to moderate mental ill health, to recover from these mental health conditions.

​The Adult Community Service supports individuals with mental Health and Complex needs by way of person centredness, a strength-based approach and personalised recovery plans.

​The service is based on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and CHIME - a set of simple guiding principles proven to improve our everyday wellbeing:

• Connect with other people
• Be physically active
• Learn new skills
• Give to others
• Pay attention to the present moment

What We Are Looking For:
The role requires a person who can work flexibly to meet clients' needs and the ability to work in collaboration with other community resources. A person who is empathetic, person centred with strong communication skills is a requirement for this post. A strong team player with a positive outlook is paramount.

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience of working within the mental health sector and is experienced within mental distress both in 1:1 and in a community setting.
Experience of facilitating groups, and delivering small workshops is an advantage.
Experience of undertaking assessments and co-developing personal action plans whilst working with a focus on outcomes for the person is essential, ensuring the person seeking support is at the centre of their journey.
An understanding of trauma informed and psychologically informed support is advantageous
Knowledge of the range of local and national statutory and voluntary agencies with which individuals may come into contact.
Someone who is confident to engage with other providers and signpost people onto suitable further support.
Understanding of any relevant legislation associated with the role.

Among Other Responsibilities You Will:

Carry out assessments and reviews with individuals who access our service.

Create time limited personal plans collaboratively with those people who are referred.

Work with individuals to support them to meet their identified goals, using the organisation's recovery tool models.

Develop and facilitate project and group activities through identified needs of the client group.

Engage with individuals from diverse communities and encourage integration.

Encourage people who access our service to get involved in the development and delivery of services.

Attend referral meetings with other working partners and health professionals.
