Residential Care Home - Day and Night Carer opportunities

Day and Night (Dementia) Care Assistant required for residential home within Swaffham.
There are spaces on both our dementia suite, and our general care suite).
Swaffham is in NORFOLK , East Anglia

You MUST be 18 years or over to apply for this position.

(Please note - ALL interviews are Face to Face ONLY and only Candidates who already live locally will be considered - Relocation is NOT an option - ANY applicant who fails to read and understand that will be rejected out of hand).

Hours of work are 8am until 8pm, 3 or 4 shifts per week.

For Nights 2000-0800 3 to 4 shifts per week

· To implement and attain the highest standards of personal and social care for the residents at the home

· To promote a caring and proactive environment that through high standards of professional practice and leading the team to meet the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs of every resident. To ensure that each resident receives care appropriate to their individual need

· To lead by example and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home

· To act in accordance with the social care code of conduct and practice and professional conduct

· To excel within the boundaries of this job description and beyond through hands on practice, representing the home, leading by example and always doing your best for the residents and the business

· To support the Registered Manager to ensure an open culture that reports any events or circumstances that adversely affect the well-being of the residents and work alongside and in partnership with the local Safeguarding team, Quality Assurance team and the Care Quality Commission to protect residents from institutional, individual and collective poor practice that constitutes abuse or neglect

· Work collaboratively with the management team and all other team members in order to ensure the best outcomes for the resident, the company and the home at all times

· To ensure the expectations of the residents, their families and representatives is met at all times in respect of the care and support delivered for each individual

· To ensure that all training is offered is accepted and attended and understand its importance

· To ensure that all information of a confidential nature obtained in the working week is not divulged to any third parties

· To ensure your attendance is positive and you do not undertake any casual sickness. Our staffing levels are assessed as needed to maintain a high standard of care and support for our resident

· To attend and actively engage with your scheduled supervision and appraisal meetings
