Residential Home - Head of Care

A Head of Care is required for a large residential home in Swaffham. This role is an exciting one, where working alongside the Unit Manager and the Registered Manager, ensuring the care standards of the home are high, delegating duties, administration of medication, care planning and completing audits to champion tasks and ensuring completion. The Team Leader will also ensure that care plan reviews are completed with a focus upon person centered care and development of these, focusing upon reviews with family members and visiting professionals.

The shifts are working 8am until 8pm which will be inclusive of weekend working and bank holidays.

Once induction is completed, and confidence grown, One week (7 day period) of "on call" duty will also be inclusive of the role, shared between all members of the Management team, in which is supported by the Registered Manager - there is a further ex gratia payment for this.

The Head of Care role will also be key in supporting the home as we transition into our digital care plan system over the next few months

QCF/NVQ preferred, although experience of those working with those living with a diagnosis of Dementia is paramount and having great empathy and understanding, is also vital to any new team member here with us. This role would be considered a good pathway into management for those that wish to progress.

All of our staff team receive full, detailed inductions and are supported with an available wide range of courses.
